My Bliss.

Welcome to my blog. Finding balance between  photography, family and everything in between.

Lily's One Year Session...

Finally! Lily is walking enough that we could take her official one year photos. I am a stickler on wanting my Baby Planners for Bliss to be walking as its as much of a milestone as it is their age.  Lily still prefers to crawl but she can stand forever and is up to about 20 steps (on HER terms of course).  Give her another couple weeks and I suppose we will be Running after her :)  I am just happy to see her reach this point and it is exciting for us to watch her. For Lily's session and what will be the final chapter of her album I am working on we flew a fellow photographer and wonderful friend Joshua Carter (lives in Missouri) to take photos of Lily.  We also wanted to make sure we got a few family photos and lets be honest...we can not take those ourselves (at least not good ones).  I have also learned that being the mom and the photographer is a VERY difficult job and I suddenly feel for all my moms/clients.  I actually said to Joshua...."I hope you got a few good ones?" Really?  Of course he did.  A pro can make magic.  But being on the other side of the camera it appeared as if Lily was being a pill. But I should know better than anyone its only a split second to get the perfect shot!  Joshua did not disappoint. He did a FANTASTIC job and we could not be happier. I also snagged a couple (dont worry...only a couple as I really was trying hard to be JUST the Mom...as hard as it was for me).  Every image is Josh's except the ones tagged bliss studio.  THANK YOU to Josh for flying her and doing this for us. I know how much pressure shooting another photographer can be and you ROCKED IT! (and put up with me...thats got to be worth something right?).

Here are just a few (well more than a few) of Lily's best shots...

Now its time to create Lily's thank you cards.  I think the images were worth the delay right? Ha ha. Hopefully I am forgiven!
