Hot! Hot! Hot! It’s so hot here in Reno, and that is funny for me to say after living in sweltering Las Vegas for 8 years.
It is really hard to dress for the weather with a/c blasting indoors. And, not just us adults, it’s also really hard to dress the little ones for the day, layering is what we have to do right now.
My car windows are tinted but it still gets so hot in the car and the car seat gets very hot too, the straps and buckles especially. I have started throwing a small blanket over the one in my car, but it doesn’t help enough. Remember to take special care and touch those yourselves first before putting your little ones in and buckling them in.
We have been having extra backyard pool time here too and I have seen lots of pics of little Lily and friends doing the same in Oregon. We have to remember, even in the shade to apply sunscreen generously and often. Landon’s shoulders got a little burnt last week.
Enjoy a safe and fun summer because winter will be here before we know it and we will be missing the sunshine, especially my Oregon family.
