I am posting a fun/easy recipe for Pumpkin Crumble
Let me know if you try this and how it turned out
Pumpkin Crumble
INGREDIENTS:
1-can of pumpkin pie filling-(like Libby’s that you add evaporated milk and eggs to)
1-box of yellow cake mix
½ cup (1 stick) plus 1 Tablespoon salted butter
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Over medium heat, melt 1 Tablespoon butter in an iron skillet. OR, grease cake pan w/butter
Prepare pie filling as directed and pour into skillet or cake pan
Evenly sprinkle cake mix on top of filling
Slice stick of butter into thin pats and evenly arrange on top of cake mix
Bake 55 to 60 minutes until top is evenly browned and knife inserted in middle comes out clean
Cool, slice and serve.
This can also be made over a campfire in a dutch oven the same exact way. Just place 8-10 hot coals under the dutch oven
and completely cover the lid with coals. Check about every 10-15 minute to make sure it doesn’t burn and remove some of the coals if it is baking too quickly.
Enjoy a safe and Happy Thanksgiving with family!
