Gma’s too far away…How do all you long distance Gma’s deal with being far away from your precious grandbabies? It was so great getting to spend time with everyone over the holidays, but now the earliest plan to get together again, is in April for Lily’s 1st Birthday. That is WAY too long! Fortunately, I do get to see lots of pics and cute videos of Lily doing funny things but this is still definitely not the same as getting to see her and spend time with her. Portland is not very far by plane, however, weather is not optimal for travel this time of year here in Reno and also sometimes it’s the same in Portland. Right now there is heavy snow up in the Northwest with power outages and flights being cancelled. One of my good friends in Reno was just telling me that they wanted to take their little boy, (almost 2) up to Northstar for fun kid-friendly activities that they have there, like tubing. Sounds so fun! We wanted to get up there during the holidays, but too much to do and too little time. I wish everyone lived closer, it is so hard! I have to come up with a plan to see Lily in person before April, (she will probably be walking by then)! Time goes by so fast and it is not fun for me to be missing the little every day things and the baby milestones. Gma misses you Lily!! Teri Troke- Lily’s Gma
