New Camera Test
I had the opportunity to test out a new camera this weekend. It has been 9 years since I bought a new camera which is crazy! In the past the digital world was changing so rapidly we would replace gear every 1-2 years. But after buying my current camera we had bonded and I refused to part with it. It was broken and loved all in just the right ways.....Except now its really broken. I broke the shutter button on it. Ha. As sad as I am to let it go, I am purchasing several generations newer of the SAME camera. This I can live with.
Did you know you have to bond with your camera? Im sorta serious! The better you know your camera the better results you can get. You want to have it set just as you like, and be able to make adjustments quickly. I want to understand the output so that I can finish my images perfectly. Its a learning process and one that can really impact how you shoot. The new camera is technically the same but being 9 years newer settings have changed, menu options have changed, color has changed....all for the better but it still requires a slight learning curve. To help with that...I dragged my less than cooperative (ha!) children around downtown Oregon City for a mini photo session.
The camera is HEAVEN! Im not sure why I waited so long. Here is a couple photos I shot of my kids in an alley way in downtown. The light was magical and my kids did everything I told them too (NOT!). Let's just say, even though its pulling teeth to get photos of my kids, Im thankful I am a pro and can make magic happen. Im also thankful they are soooo cute :)
The bonding has commenced! I am so excited for the photo season to begin and looking forward to be inspired!
More soon....
