My Bliss.

Welcome to my blog. Finding balance between  photography, family and everything in between.

Turning Three is Amazing.

Turning Three is Amazing.

My son turned three at the end of February and he kindly reminded us that he was allowed to take horse back riding lessons once he turned three. I honestly don't remember when we told him that but kids dont forget a thing do they? He has also been watching his big sister ride since he was a baby. For him, he knew he hit an important milestone and he couldn't have been more excited.

Lennox was grinning ear to ear during his lesson and it was such an awesome moment to watch. I had a hard time keeping it together as I was so proud of him. He had been doing a great job watching big sis and took to riding like a champ. Plus those cowboy boots! Lennox rode Midnight who of course wished him a Happy Birthday with his Bday hat.

We have been taking Lily to riding lessons at Dreamridge Stables for about three years now and are happy that Lennox is joining in. The owner, Karen is amazing with kids and Lily immediately took to her the first time we met. We all feel so lucky to have found Karen and to be able to share this experience with her.  For me, having my kids riding is like sharing a piece of my grandmother with them. It is a joy to watch them ride and I feel like she is looking down watching over us. I know my kids were not able to meet her before she passed but this is how I have chosen to help pass on the memory of her and one of the greatest things her and I shared.
