Photo Shoot Out
A very good friend of mine and talented artist visited all the way from Missouri! We brought him to town to photograph my family BUT I thought a little shoot out would make the trip even better! So I rallied the troops and booked us 5 High School Senior sessions. These 5 kids had not one but TWO amazing photographers take their senior photos.
Here is a little behind the scenes action of Joshua Carter and I...
I posted photos on Facebook from each of us, rallying for votes to see who's were the favorite! In all honesty I "think" Joshua won the popular vote BUT I won the war. ha! In other words he was pretty up there in total likes (votes) but I pulled ahead on the winning shot. To me though...I was so proud of both of us and the fact that if you didn't know who's photos were who's we did a killer job as a team. It is not often I can photograph with anyone (other than my husband) and have the images look enough the same that it looks like the same studio shot them. What is even better? We shoot with completely different gear (literally) with completely different shooting and post editing styles. But when all was said and done....Who could really tell the difference? Even my own husband who was along on the shoots was unsure. Here is one shot of each session from each of us. What do you think? Can you tell the difference?
The winning shot of the bunch was this fabulous photo of Issy.
Her session was the last of the day and we planned an Urban Ballerina session as she just got her Pointe shoes. It was fabulous!
I will be blogging about each session over the next week or so but I wanted to give you guys a little taste of this adventure. It was a blast to dual shoot and has me super excited about the senior class of 2018! If you know a High School Senior....Send them my way! Summer is the best time to get those photos taken!
