Braelen- Class of 2018
I have lots of sneak peeks to share over the next week! My season is in full swing as we head into Summer. (For real this time....Summer is here right?). To get the summer started with a bang I worked with fellow friend and fabulous photographer, Joshua Carter (see previous post) on a few senior sessions. Duel shooting is such a great way to both learn and push your creativity as you "fight" for the best shot. Okay, we weren't really fighting but seriously it is fun to see another photographer in action and to bounce ideas off each other. Not only did we end up with some awesome shots, Joshua and I are working on some videos to teach others about shooting seniors. Despite our different styles we both produced beautiful images that mesh perfectly together.
We spent the day in downtown Oregon City to give a more urban vibe to our sessions. The weather was perfect despite starting out with a little misty rain which was making me nervous. Thankfully it worked its way out and gave us a nice even light day that was not too hot (perfect for everyone involved).
To start out our epic day we were honored to have Braelen join us. Braelen is a senior at Clackamas High School this next year. He is a Varsity football player, Track athlete and enjoys wake boarding. (Hopefully, we will have photos of that this summer! So excited). He also has quite the collection of shoes. (Seriously! This boy had awesome shoes for his session. And yes, I totally noticed as usually you have to beg senior boys to bring more than one pair of shoes. I was in heaven!)
Braelen had a killer smile and handled the paparazzi of photographers with style. Trust me, it is not easy having people surrounding you with cameras (there were actually three of us as I had an assistant for most of the sessions) while being downtown and having people watch as they drive by. We rolled with the craziness and had a blast.
A huge thank you to Braelen for letting us both photograph you! We had a blast and hope you did as well. Congrats on your upcoming senior year and cant wait to get some creative shots on the water! Bring on the paparazzi for Round Two!
